Business Club: South Sands Hotel

Our first business club of the year takes place at the South Sands Hotel.

This event will introduce you to:

Exciting new ventures from Kingsbridge Community College including the Professional Practice Award which aims to inspire students to demonstrate their professionalism both inside and outside of the classroom.

We also welcome a group of young adults who will be talking about a new company that they have created as part of the Young Enterprise programme.

Our connections with the college also include their involvement with the Youth and Business Awards, so we also look forward to showing you how we’re working with the school on a project to create the trophies that we’ll be awarding annually to the winners of each category.

In addition to the above we have Paula and Kitty from Activities 115, they’ll be talking about the wide range of activities, courses, classes, training, job and social opportunities that they offer and encouraging you to drop in and use their facilities.

Carol Horton will be present with a Fair Week update and Kevin Moore of Axle Tramps will be back to provide news on the 2020 Classic Car event.

Following the event the hotel are offering a special menu at £25 per head as follows:

Starters: 

Tomato & basil soup

Monkfish bites, with Thai aioli

Mains:

 ‘Fish of the day’  with choice of side

Silken tofu Thai green curry (Vegan) – Silken tofu, Asian vegetables & fragrant jasmine rice

Confit pork belly – with apple puree, cider jus & choice of side 

Desserts: 

Lemon posset shortbread biscuit

Sticky toffee pudding – toffee sauce, clotted cream

Dark chocolate torte – bitter orange, honeycomb & raspberry sorbet
