The committee is made up of local businessmen and women who volunteer their time and expertise each month by attending committee meetings, business clubs and socials. Bringing these skills together to build a better online presence for Devon businesses. Joined the Chamber Committee in late 2021 to bring more of a small business perspective to the Chamber.

Treasurer
John spent 30 years in the Royal Navy as a warfare officer, serving on ships ranging in size from small patrol craft to frigates, destroyers, amphibious assault ships and aircraft carriers. He subsequently joined the NHS as a Director of Operations, following which he joined Mott MacDonald, who are a global engineering, management and development consultancy firm.

As director of IT WORKHOUSE, Cyber Security advocate and network engineer, Alex has been managing, maintaining, and installing technology across the South Hams for a decade. Alex has joined the Committee with an aim to “promote technology across the South Hams”.
Kim heads up her own social media agency here in Kingsbridge and helps the Chamber with their marketing, social media and promoting events. Kim is working alongside James and Jenny to promote the current grant schemes.

Philip joined Kingsbridge Town Council in 2017 and has worked extensively to improve the public realm including way-markers, benches, planters and bins. He is a member of Kingsbridge In Bloom, a trustee of the Cookworthy Museum and the Council representative for both the Dodbrooke Feoffees and Kingsbridge Age Concern. He also chairs Kingsbridge Kino (a world cinema club) and is part of Dodbrooke bell-ringing team.
Cabinet Member for Economic Recovery and Skills and County Councillor for the electoral division of Salcombe.

Mark is a restauranteur having spend the past 26 years running the Winking Prawn Group, with restaurants in Salcombe and Polzeath, and before that he worked in the restaurant trade in Poole.
I have lived in the South Hams for over 45 years, working mainly in the tourism/hospitality business. I set up and established the Salcombe TIC in 1984, having worked at the Marine Hotel, Thurlestone Hotel in P.R and in conference management in the Cotswolds.
