We’re delighted to be joined by our guest speaker, Jonathan Fisher, General Manager of The National Trust for South and East Devon.

In addition to sharing some of the vision for The National Trust's coastal land in South Devon, Jonathan will also be sharing his experience of Tiny Homes, a concept that is being rolled out in Australia and the USA as a sustainable, affordable solution to the housing crisis.



Jonathan will delve into the advantages of Tiny Homes based on his experience of them in Tasmania.



Tiny Homes are seen as a solution for seasonal worker accommodations and we will look forward to his perspectives on this innovative approach.

We’re delighted that Bartons Solicitors in Kingsbridge will be hosting the Annual Garden Party this year. And we’d love you to see you on Thursday, June 29th, from 5:30 pm onwards to celebrate the vitality of business in our area in 2023.



After a four year hiatus, we’re excited to return to the lovely gardens of Bartons on Fore St in the heart of Kingsbridge.



No. 20 Fore Street was most likely the town residence of the Abbot of Buckfast and it’s easy to see why it’s tranquil atmosphere and picturesque surroundings make it the perfect setting for an evening of enjoyment.

Returning to Fore Street in Kingsbridge for our Annual Garden Party is an opportune time to celebrate the vitality of our local businesses and entrepreneurialism and cultural developments in our community.

With special guest speakers and networking from 5.30pm-7.15pm.



The meeting will finish by 7.15pm after which we hope you will join us for our ticketed supper, where you can continue your conversations over a relaxed meal.



We’re excited that Kate Pennell will be our caterer for the evening. With an impressive resume Kate’s catered from the galley of The Royal Yacht Britannia through to Kofi Annan's kitchen, Hugh Grant and as a personal chef to King Charles III, Kate's expertise will undoubtedly delight your taste buds for a modest fee.



To ensure a refreshing evening, our bar services will be provided by Barrel & Still.

HERE is your opportunity to speak up: On Thursday 9th February, our local MP, Anthony Mangnall, will be joining us in Thurlestone for a Q&A session about the housing and transport solutions we so badly need in the South Hams.



It is our pleasure to accept Anthony Mangnall MP's offer to attend a Business Club. He was elected as MP for Totnes and South Devon in 2019, and works hard to support local residents and businesses in areas such as connectivity, healthcare and rural opportunity. He has led successful campaigns to temporarily reduce VAT for the tourism and hospitality sector, and to close a business rates loophole for second homeowners. As a Permanent Private Secretary to the Treasury, he now has a direct line to the Chancellor and his Ministerial team.



March brings his Government’s most important Spring Budget in decades, against a backdrop of double digit inflation, staffing crisis, housing crisis, threat of long recession and war in Europe. At our Business Club - six weeks prior to the Budget – you, the business owners and managers of the South Hams, have the chance to be heard all the way to the Treasury.



In line with the Chamber’s strategic priorities for 2023, we will be focusing the 45-minute Question Time format on: Housing and transport solutions, to solve the staffing crisis. Members are invited to submit a question here to ask our MP at the meeting.
