We would be pleased if you could join us, Fortress Hassall Law, at a free Seminar open to all to be held on Thursday 2nd November 2017 at Kingsbridge Town Council Chambers, Quay House, Ilbert Road, Kingsbridge, Devon, TQ7 1DZ
There will be no hard selling and you might hear of something which could save you or your clients a good deal of money. The topics for consideration will include:
Succession Planning for families and businesses to ensure families are protected and wealth preserved. Peter Norris will consider the vital importance of Powers of Attorney and Wills in protecting assets for you and your intended beneficiaries and will discuss the newly implemented additional Inheritance Tax allowance for homeowners and how this can benefit families.
In relation to businesses, Peter will discuss issues facing business owners lacking capacity after illness or injury and the position on death. Consideration will be given to how Wills and Powers of Attorney interact with company Articles, Shareholder and Partnership Agreements.
Tim Jones, a commercial finance professional from Start Point Finance will give an overview of the current working capital products for businesses available from the High Street banks and alternative lenders including crowd funding platforms and the trade-off between security, affordability and cost for a range of products with some tips on presenting your business effectively to the underwriters.
Rochelle Yea, is a property finance professional from Next Route Finance based in Torquay, who works with a plethora of specialist commercial lenders, sourcing and arranging funds required to buy property for landlords, investors, developers and trading businesses. Rochelle will provide an overview of the commercial property market which will include the vast regulatory and legal changes that have taken place this year, problems being faced as a result of these changes and how you can mitigate effectively.
