Want to know who your target audience is and define your social media platforms?

Social media is a crowded space so how do you make sure you reach the right audience?

About this event:
In the UK alone, millions of people use social media every day. Having a hit-or-miss approach to social media is never going to target your ideal customer. As most small businesses have a limited budget and time it’s crucial to have a strategic approach. My workshop will show you how to choose and prioritise the right platform for your business and define your target audience.

Why should I attend?

Choosing the right social media platform for your business:
It can be tempting to have a presence on every social media platform but unless you’re a big brand that’s rarely a manageable commitment. It is time-consuming to design and deliver social media strategies and each platform is different so requires a unique approach.

It’s super important to choose the right ones for your brand but it can be difficult to prioritise. What if you choose wrongly?

You will learn the basics of social, search and messaging platforms and will gain insights into who uses each social media platform and why. You will then learn the process for prioritising platforms based on your brand, target audience, budget, and resource.

Identifying your target customer

How can you make sure you reach the right people in the right way?
If you are going to reach people that are actually your target customer you need to first define who they are.

Once you know this you can design effective strategies to reach them and convince them to buy from you.

In order to define your target customer, it’s essential to develop profiles of your customers called user/buyer personas. In this session, I’ll teach you everything you need to know about personas, what they look like, why they are important and how to create your own.

We’ll also be getting practical and you’ll work on creating a persona for one of your customers from scratch.

You will come out of this session with a clear idea of which platforms to prioritise and why, and who your target customer is.

“I recently attend a short Social Media workshop “Know your target audience and define your platforms”, run by Kim Willis. As someone from the analogue age, I found it to be very informative without being over technical. There were helpful guidelines to follow up on as well as a very personalised approach. Kim clearly knows her subject inside out and I would certainly recommend trying out one of her workshops.”

“Great training delivered today, length of training was spot on and content was just right.”

“I can highly recommend this workshop if you would like to know how to make social media work better for your business. Kim is inspirational, has up-to-date knowledge and provides realistic strategies for small businesses. Thank you”

FAQs
Who is this session suitable for?
Ideally, you will have some basic knowledge of social media. You may already have a presence on social media platforms but would like to know more strategically. You’ll be fed up with a random approach to your social media and want to find out who your ideal customer is. You may be thinking your platforms aren’t quite right. You don’t necessarily need to have used social media for your business, but it would help if you have set up your profiles. I am going to be avoiding using jargon and aim to make this session as user-friendly as possible.

I’ll contact you before the event to find out a little bit about your business.
