Come and meet us...

Six Business Club meetings are held each year on alternate months starting in January.  They are held on Wednesday or Thursday evenings at 5.30pm for 6pm and provide an opportunity to hear about the success of a local business and network with members over light refreshments. There is no charge for attending and non-members are welcome to join us.

We have recently started Breakfast Club Meetings, these are held on alternate months to Business Clubs, see below for details of all our events.

10th September:  Quay Car Park, Car Boot Sale, fundraising for YABAAs

9th October: Quiz Night, Creeks End, £2 per head, team of up to six, starts 8pm

12th October:  Business Club, Oyster Shack, Bigbury, commences 6.00pm for 6.30pm start. Menu £15 two courses or £17 three courses here.

21st November:  Business Club, Salcombe Gin followed by Island Street Bar & Grill, commences 6.00pm for 6.30pm start, main speaker Sandler Training.

Thursday 23rd March, Cliff House, Salcombe Business Club, 18.00hrs - 19.30hrs

Our meeting took place in the stunning surroundings of Cliff House Salcombe.  Starting at the slightly later time of 18.00hrs was a destinct benefit and we were delighted to see 57 attendees (more than half of whom stayed for the meal). 

As ever the meeting was packed with a great range of speakers:

Thursday 19th January, Mahabharat, Kingsbridge Business Club 17.30hrs - 19.00hrs.

Our meetings at the Mahabharat are always well attended and great for business and this was no exception.

Thursday 1st December Business Masterclass: ‘How to hire the best people for the right roles AND retain them’ 

Getting good people in the right job positions - and understanding how to retain them, are both critical roles of management. Eleven business owners and MDs joined us for this small chamber workshop where guest speaker Andy McCreadie from Sandler Training shared ‘tried and tested’ methods for creating a robust hiring process. We looked at how you can ensure you get the right people in the right roles and shared tactics for improving staff engagement and loyalty.

This was a free class for Members.

We returned to the Regal Club for a special session ‘The Power of goal setting’
As we approach the end of 2016, it seems fitting that our focus for the evening should be on the power of goal setting. Guest speaker Andy McCreadie from Sandler Training will talk to us about the correlation between high performance and goal setting and will help us improve our attitudes towards both risk taking and learning through failing. If you want to make 2017 your best growth year yet, come and join us at our final networking event of 2016.

Following the talk we'll be networking and taking the opportunity to see the new refurbishment of the Regal Club, we'll be having an early Christmas drink together after which you can opt to stay for a special three course supper provided at £15.95 per head.

Tuesday 15th November - The Salcombe Distilling Company on Island Street. 

We had a wonderful evening at the Salcombe Distilling Company Ltd after which over fifty people stayed for a meal at the much loved Island Street Bar & Grill.  Read all about it HERE.

Regal Club, Kingsbridge, 14th September 2016, 5.30 - 7.00pm

This was our first visit to the Regal Club and we were made very welcome.  Read all about it HERE.  We're pleased to announce that we'll be returning to the Regal Club on 1st December to see the new refurbished premises while enjoying a pre-Christmas drink and a meal.  

AGM - Bartons, Kingsbridge, 16th June 2016 5.30 - 7.00pm 

Our AGM (or Annual Garden Party as we prefer to call it) was held at Bartons in Kingsbridge on Thursday 16th June.  We hold some great meetings throughout the year but this is always one of our favourites, we're outside in lovely surroundings and following the event we enjoy a wonderful meal from Members, The Dinner Service.  Find out more HERE.
